Night view at Liseberg's entrance
I took the opportunity to snap a few shots during the Queen - We are the champions concert's interval.
BTW, the quality of the photos is not very impressive since I only brought along my Powershot.

Queen - We are the champions concert 2011
As a birthday gift, I've invited my husband to go to Queen's cover/tribute band Mercury - We are the champions concert at Liseberghallen in Gothenburg. We have learnt that this band has existed for about 20 years now and has been performing all over the world. WOW! We have also learnt that Freddie's favorite song was Somebody to love.
Very entertaining concert where the band kept asking us, all audience, to sing and dance along. It was pretty fun since the audience recognized all the Queen classics, i.e. We are the champion, I want to break free, Radio gaga, Don't stop me now etc... It was really cool to hear Bohemian Rhapsody LIVE!!! Awesome!

Pulau Sapi
After a 25 minutes boat ride (extra 8 minutes for a lady to run to the jetty to pick up her batik and another 2 minutes for our boat captain to pick up my husband's hat from the sea), we finally made it to this gorgeous sandy beach - Sapi island.
It was very very warm (at least 34 degrees Celcius) and we just couldn't wait to jump into the water to cool down a little. After swimming a while, my husband pointed out that there were fishes biting him all over. Oooo... strange... I swam next to him and nothing happened.
After a few attacks, he decided to rest on the beach while I continued to swim.
Ouuuucccchhh! OK! Now I understand what he meant by "a bite"... The fish was not tiny at all.
I swam away and tried to keep swimming all the time to avoid being beaten by the fishes.
It took just about 15 minutes before I got tired of swimming this way... no fun!
When I got back to the beach, I noticed that there were signs all over the beach warning people to be careful of the fishes and deep water. Hahahahahhahaha! Our own fault... never read the signs! :)
Anyhow, it was a beautiful day and we love this place.
Would definitely try to dive in Sabah next time.

Jesselton Point
We were not feeling so well due to the extremely hot weather in Sabah.
No luck for diving but somehow we managed to go to one of the nearby islands - Pulau Sapi for a quick swim. In order to go to the island, we have to take a ferry from Jesselton Point's jetty.
Pulau Sapi is one of the islands in the T.A.R Marine Park and according to the law, we have to pay tax and special fees in order to swim there. The charges of the fees and taxes were very strange where I (a Malaysian) only needed to pay MYR 3 but my husband (a foreigner) had to pay MYR 10. This happened also in the orangutan's center where I paid MYR 10 while he paid MYR 65. Very unfair!!!

Kota Kinabalu town center
Kota Kinabalu is the state capital of Sabah, one of the 13 states of Malaysia.
It is located on the northern part of the island of Borneo.
After Singapore, we flew to KK and stayed at the water front in the town center.
The advantage of staying in the town center is we have access to many restaurants and lots of choices of food. Our favorite dish is steam fish. Very very fresh fish and seafood!
The trick is... go to the aquarium, point at the fish or any seafood you want to eat, and they will be prepared the way you wished and served on your table in no time! Fantastic!

Scuba diving at Phi Phi Island
After a 6 years break, we've decided to give it a try to dive again.
I was very nervous the night before, imaging all the worse things could have happen to me.
Phi Phi island is so beautiful, warm crystal clear water and magnificent vista.
With the beautiful scenary and all the happy divers around, I got distracted and forgotten about all fears I had before.
We had three wonderful dives at Koh Bida Nok, big rock outside Loh Samah Bay, and Koh Doc Mai (Flower island). With excellent and very clear visibility (clear even at 16-20m depth), we saw lots of colorful fishes, seahorses, soft corals, shark, turtles, morays etc...
The best dive was somewhere near Loh Samah Bay, where we swam between two narrow cliffs, both sides were full of soft white corals, small fishes... almost like what we usually watch in Discovery Channel. So beautiful!
I enjoyed all three wonderful dives and I had a blast! Can't wait for my next dive... wheeee!
On the other hand, our snorkeling trip was a total disappointment. :(

| I enjoy the actual "dive" and the "after dive"... so nice just to float around on the surface while waiting for our pick-up. Yuupppp! Very spoiled! No need to swim back to the boat. All you have to do is, hiss a flag and the boat will come to you. Yeah! My kind of diving! :) |

Jogoya
If you are looking for a "eat-till-you-drop" experience, then Jogoya will be the right place to visit.
This Japanese buffet restaurant serves more than 200 delicious dishes from different cuisines (Japanese, Chinese, Malay, Indian, Western and International).
We spent 3 hours there but after 6 attempts, we only managed to sample or taste 10% of the food served that night.
